Lyrics:
AN ECHO FROM BEYOND:
In many years I've had my share
But now it seems nobody cares
When all I wanted was some peace
Now everything is out of reach
Don't let my dreams get hold of me
I can hear an echo from beyond
Don't let family forget me, and who I was
Feels hard to know all trust is gone
When I think back of all we've done
Why can't I tell you how I feel
This state I'm in can't be hard to see
Don't let my dreams get hold of me
I can hear an echo from beyond
Don't let family forget me, and who I was
Who I've become
Don't let my dreams get hold of me
I can hear an echo from beyond
AT THE BRIDGE OF LIFE:
See the man I was before inside the pieces of my mirror
I feel the need for something more than just being alive
Under the sun I stand alone
At the bridge of life
I wonder how far I can go
I can't sleep, I can't fell, I don't know
I'm just a shadow of the past, with all the good times behind me
Being a pale and wornout man, it's a struggle to the end
Under the sun I stand alone
At the bridge of life
I wonder how far I can go
I can't sleep, I can't fell, I don't know
Across the bridge I'll find the truth, and I have waited a long, long time
There is no reason in living anymore, I hear the pounding of the bells
Under the sun I stand alone
At the bridge of life
I wonder how far I can go
I can't sleep, I can't fell, I don't know
AVERON is a Swedish band that hovers between their own kind of Epic Traditional Doom-metal with atmospheric elements (read: keyboards) and more straight forward Doom-metal. The first official release 'Serenity' is focused more on catchy melodies and straight forward music. However, on their second release 'An Echo From Beyond' the band seems more influenced by the Epic Doom sound produced by bands such as Solstice and Solitude Aeturnus. But the band clearly has their own sound. Overall, the vocals have a more rough feeling to them than you might expect (no operatic wailing vocals). Expect atmosphere on some songs, straightforward heavy riffing on other songs and overall very powerful music. Slow headbanging stuff!
